Your energy comes from spending time with people. You see meaning in the things that people say. You read between the lines. You make decisions based on your gut feeling or what seems right to you. You prefer spontaneity and seeing how things go rather than structure and schedules.
I get my energy from spending time around people. I crave new experiences and can’t wait to see what’s around the corner. Life is too short not to be living it - so when an exciting opportunity comes my way, you’ll find me jumping on in with both feet! It’s easier for me to understand problems when I can talk about them and get feedback from others.
I believe we all have the right to be heard and listened to. I am committed to making decisions that are best for everyone involved, considering their values. My relationships with people tend to come across as caring and warm because it’s important to me to make everyone around me feel comfortable.
I am a future-oriented thinker. I think about what might be possible and new, which is why I don’t like hands-on experience. I would rather brainstorm a solution with theories and patterns. I’m most interested in patterns and impressions and am able to see them with very little active effort. It just happens naturally. When I think about the past I focus more on the impression of the event rather than the details.
I use my perceiving function (whether it is Sensing or Intuition) in my outer life. I’m a flexible person who likes to live by the seat of my pants. I like to be spontaneous and adaptable in all situations. I would rather understand the world than try to organize it. Inside my mind, I may be a bit more organized and decisive. Remember, in type language perceiving means “preferring to take in information.” It does not mean being “perceptive” in the sense of having quick and accurate perceptions about people and events.
